We're looking for a strategic business solutions guru who knows what data is critical to drive the future of consumer engagement. The Senior Director of Business Solutions is a thought-leader who will conduct research and lead community forums and working groups to understand current and future industry needs, helm the development and execution of national digital strategies that elevate Canadian industries, and leverage GS1 standards to improve the lives of Canadians. This role is also a people leader, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to a team of senior solutions leads with their own portfolios.

What you'll do • Lead a team of managers and directors who are accountable for delivering industry solutions within their own domains
• Lead and execute GS1 Canada's business solutions strategies, collaborating as a business owner cross-functionally on required global standards, product and service roadmaps, solution pricing, go-to-market plans and campaigns, and project definitions
• Act as GS1 Canada's subject matter expert on our business solutions, showing thought leadership in areas such as: master data, product listings, sustainability reporting and ESG, product marketing, digital commerce, and other retail, healthcare, or foodservice processes that can benefit from the use of GS1 standards and solutions
• Partner with leading Canadian retailers, foodservice distributors, healthcare providers, distributors, and manufacturers of all sizes and scale to develop strategies that meet the growing needs of industry
• Be the ‘voice of the customer' within the organization, ensuring business decisions are based on what is best for industry, balancing short-term opportunities with long-term goals
• Provide thought leadership as you facilitate industry meetings, conduct one-on-one interviews, and attend appropriate industry events to keep current on local market trends, new business opportunities, and global best practices, while collecting industry requirements to enhance assigned offerings and strategies
• Through your team, establish partnerships with a variety of third-party service providers to level-up assigned business solutions and add significant value to industry
• Work with your team to set KPIs, track metrics, manage P&L, conduct monthly and quarterly business reviews, and provide appropriate updates to staff, executives, and key stakeholders on the performance of assigned business solutions
What you'll bring • 5+ years managing or directing retail software solutions • Bachelor's degree in business, an MBA, or a combination of relevant education backed by industry experience A superpower for translating data into meaningful insights to help assess and solve business issues, identify gaps, and address areas of opportunity for GS1 Canada and the industries we serve• Business fluency and strong storytelling that empowers you to lead and influence a wide variety of stakeholders at all levels within the industries we serve • A track record of developing and executing strategic plans that meet budgets and forecasts, while not skipping over the necessary details • A sixth sense for uncovering and identifying what is needed to optimize clinical and business outcomes
