THE VOLUNTEER'S ROLE

The objective of this volunteer opportunity is to contribute to the smooth functioning of the Cuso International office in Ottawa. Your valuable role will involve providing much-needed in-person administrative and logistical support to multiple teams working in the office (hybrid), including Corporate Services, Communications, Fundraising, and International Programs.

As a volunteer, you will:

  • Provide support for tenant services, troubleshooting and responding to staff and landlord requests.
  • Manage vendors and suppliers for office equipment and services, including stocking office consumables.
  • Support financial administration such as invoice processing
  • Coordinate the processing of legal documentation required for Cuso International global operations
  • Coordinate event logistics and hospitality for internal and external meetings and events, including translation, food and beverage, room bookings, etc.
  • Conduct desk research and other administrative duties, as needed

ESSENTIAL REQUITEMENTS

  • Written and oral proficiency in English; French and/or Spanish is an asset
  • Experience in office administration.
  • Self-motivated and high organized, ability to work independently.
  • Experience collaborating with diverse teams from various disciplines and cultures.
  • Strong understanding of the non-profit sector
  • Ability to work in-person at least 2 days per week
  • Ability to conduct occasional administrative duties outside of the office (i.e. document processing with Service Ontario, Embassies, couriers, etc.)
