Designer, Production
The Designer, Production is responsible for the development of detailed drawings as well as the coordination of project files and permits. You will support the department in developing creative solutions, working with a variety of departments.

  • Diploma in drafting/design, architecture or equivalent from an accredited post secondary institution.
  • Experience drafting/design in the residential construction industry.
  • Ability to work well in a design team and handle multiple projects.

What will you do?
Complete documentation packages.
  • Preparation CAD for projects and maintenance of drawing sets.
  • Check and verify design drawings to conform to specifications, guidelines, design data, municipalities requirements, etc.
  • Drafting and designing all homes and site plans.
  • Produce drawing sets based on current project and team needs.
  • Maintain projects drawings through the use of ArchiCAD or Revit systems.
  • Quantity take offs and estimating as required.
Coordination with vendors and municipalities.
  • Preparation and requesting all required engineering data for projects.
  • Preparation and submitting for architectural approval.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of National and Provincial Building Code.
  • Produce, organize and distribute all detailed technical drawings including development permits, building permits issued for construction and site instructions.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
