About the Role

The HRBP US and CAN is a key member of the Solidifi North America People and Culture team. The role is to act as a trusted consultant and partner (coach, advise, counsel) to our employees and management in designated business units.

Responsibilities

The incumbent will demonstrate strategic and operational contributions to the development, understanding and timely execution of high-quality processes, practices, and systems. The position delivers solutions within a dynamic operational context which has a relatively high level of transactional demand across all aspects of HR (e.g., talent, engagement, culture, performance management, compensation). The individual will need to seek out, share information, and closely collaborate with colleagues across the People and Culture Team to ensure practices and decisions align with our values and strategy.

  • Proactively work to strengthen HR deliveries within Solidifi and in particular to support the organisation with HR projects around organizational effectiveness, culture and engagement among others.
  • Support the HR team members with day-to-day HR activities.
  • Work alongside managers to improve employee relations and maximise the effectiveness of resources to ensure management meet operational requirements.
  • Provide support to operational recruitment activities from initial discussions or requirements through to final selection and offer negotiations.
  • Actively participate on the design and execution of a range of HR processes and programs such as resourcing, talent development, performance improvement, training, and development

Skills and Expertise

  • Minimum 6 - 8+ years related experience in CAN and US
  • Highly proficient in all Microsoft Office tools
  • Have a bachelor's degree in HR or related field experience in Canada and US business, employment laws and policies.
  • Experience in all areas of HR competency including employee relations, employee engagement and change management.
  • Confident coach and ability to influence and to challenge managers when required.
  • A seasoned facilitator with passion for learning and growth mindset.
  • A well-organized collaborator who can manage multiple competing priorities in a challenging environment.
  • An individual who can act independently in a self-directed, purposeful environment to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Strong understanding of best practices Human Resources function and passion for building diverse and inclusive teams
  • HR Certifications (CPHR / SHRM etc.) preferred or working towards it.
  • Knowledge of and best practices, and related legislation
