Contracts Administrator/Paralegal (Remote within Canada)
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the key focus of the Contracts Administrator is to ensure that Multiview enters into contracts with clients, partners and vendors that are clear, reflect the negotiated terms and appropriately protect Multiview. The successful candidate will support the ongoing maturity of the legal function and the legal risk mitigation efforts in a growing technology company.

This role is suited to an individual who has supported teams with the preparation of software contracts for clients, working with clients, internal teams and external legal counsel on accurate and efficient changes and edits. Combining their knowledge of the business with the practical application of their understanding of contract law, the successful candidate will support our continued growth.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Contract Administration
- Serve as the first point of contact for the coordination of contracts and legal agreements that Multiview enters into.
- Conduct initial review of contracts and various other legal documents and finalization of negotiated agreements (including editing and internal clarifications).
- Primary liaison between Multiview and external legal counsel in Canada and the US.
- Coordination and maintenance of processes and workflows required to ensure external and internal reviews are conducted and for appropriate execution of agreements.
- Support compliance with mandatory and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure all copies of executed agreements are retained and provide ongoing monitoring of all sales contracts to identify exceptions, risks and required mitigations.
General Legal Support and Administration
- Lead the maintenance of required templates and documentation required to support the business and the appropriate mitigation of risk.
- Support the ongoing training and development for staff, and coordination with external services to deliver effective training.
- Working with internal teams, ensure the maintenance of an effective internal control's environment.
- Assist with the development, implementation, and administration of legal record retention and administrative strategies to maintain ongoing compliance.

COMPETENCIES PORTFOLIO:
- Technical Skills– Strong in-depth knowledge of contracting frameworks and an understanding of Multiview's operations is required to perform the role competently. The incumbent must be comfortable explaining technical terms and concepts to others. Contracting expertise is gained through previous education and experience. Understanding Multiview's operations is gained through in-role training and extensive on-the-job experience.
- Problem-solving– Proactive in anticipating and resolving problems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to develop solutions are required.
- Initiative– Seeks, accepts, and completes new tasks using own initiative; works independently with little supervision.
- Communication– The ideal candidate will be a skilled written and verbal communicator and can address different audiences using appropriate language to communicate their meaning clearly and efficiently, including on challenging topics.
- Interpersonal Skills–Ability to effectively coach, communicate and work with colleagues internally, and clients and external counsel externally.
- Organization– Ability to handle multiple deliverables simultaneously to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks to ensure a smooth prospect and client experience.
- Teamwork– works with multiple teams cross-functionally and must know how to effectively address the needs of each team while always keeping the client's outcomes as the primary objective.
YOU ARE SOMEONE WHO HAS:
- College Diploma with a major in Legal Administration or Law Clerk/Paralegal program, or relevant experience – Bachelor's degree or LL.B/JD would be considered an asset.
- 5 years working experience in contracts management in a software environment in North America.
- Experience drafting and reviewing legal and business terms, and experience clarifying these to internal users and clients. Experience collaborating with legal professionals.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills with the ability to share opinions clearly.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with keen attention to detail
- Strong organization, planning, prioritization, and time management skills. with a demonstrated ability to proactively anticipate and act.
- Ability to work collaboratively and maintain effective relationships in a team environment, and independently as a self-starter with little supervision.
- Representing Multiview's values and advancing the reputation of the company and its clients.
WHAT WE WOULD LOVE TO SEE?
- 3+ year experience in Software as a Service company is considered an asset.
- Experience in client-facing situations and the ability to provide exceptional client service.
- United States healthcare experience is considered an asset.
