PACIFIC SANDS POSITION PROFILE


Position Title: Maintenance Attendant

Department: Property Operations

Schedule: As operations require, including weekends and statutory holidays

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Property Operations Manager, the Maintenance
Attendant will provide for guests' comfort by ensuring that Resort is running at optimal
functionality and ensuring that Resort grounds and public areas are clean, groomed and presented in
an optimal aesthetic manner. A Maintenance Attendant promotes a positive image of the
property to guests and must be pleasant, friendly, and address problems or special requests.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The key responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

Maintenance Attendant:
● Provide 5-star customer service to all guests.
● Acknowledge and greet guests with a warm and friendly greeting.
● Routine maintenance such as painting and drywall repairs
● Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing and electrical
systems
● Perform manual repairs such as repairing locks, replacing windows or doors, etc.
● May operate vehicles and powered equipment, such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles,
leaf blowers, chain saws, electric clippers, sod cutters and pruning saws.
● Make minor adjustments and minor repairs to maintain tools, equipment and vehicles.
● May move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies
● Maintain sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, garbage/recycling bins, doggie bag dispensers
and ashtrays.
● May perform maintenance such as mowing grass, watering plants and tending grounds
● Work closely with Guest Services and Housekeeping departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
● Answer or investigate all guest inquiries promptly.
● Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and
safety standards.
● Ensure that security and safety measures are in place; comply with all Resort safety guidelines
and be familiar with emergency procedures.
● Perform other job-related duties and special projects assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE

● Ability to work well unsupervised, at a fast pace while maintaining quality standards
● Ability to work cohesively with colleagues as part of a team
● Ability to maintain a high level of work ethic and attention to detail
● Highly responsible and reliable
● Excellent English, communication and organizational skills
● Have a valid Driver's License
● Comfortable with a range of machinery and tools
● Proven maintenance or gardening experience, certifications and education are an asset

Physical Demands


Must be physically fit and lift moderately heavy items, along with movements such as bending,
stooping, kneeling and climbing stairs when required. In addition, will be required to perform repetitive
tasks and stand on feet/or walk for long periods.
