We are looking for a candidate that is confident, dependable, and a professional team player to join us in the role of Senior Site Superintendent.

Role Objectives

The Senior Superintendent is the lead for job site safety, quality control, and project schedule and is the liaison with architect and consultants on all field and constructability issues.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and monitor day to day activities of all Trade Contractors and Suppliers on site and measure progress against the master schedule.
  • Manage work on site to ensure compliance of construction with the drawings, specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Assist in overall construction management including design, budget, and schedule in conjunction with the Project Manager, Subcontractors, Owners, Engineers and Architects.
  • Plan and implement schedules and ensure proper equipment and trades are available as required.
  • Lead project meetings with internal and external parties (team members, sub trades, consultants, and clients) to monitor and support the projection of the project.
  • Ensure that information is passed on to all trades so that they may carry out their work as it interfaces with the work of other trades.
  • Execute and follow all safety protocols required under corporate Health & Safety policies.
  • Report issues and propose solutions.
  • Maintain and keep detailed records such as daily reports, as-built drawings, labour logs, etc.).
  • Conduct quality control inspections.

Location & Commitments

Location: Project Locations Generally Focused In GTA Area

Construction Site Working Hours Are Determined by Project and Project Specific Construction Schedules

Candidate Requirements

  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in a construction related field preferred.
  • Minimum 10+ years of ICI construction experience.
  • Maintaining a valid Ontario class “G” driver's license and having access to a vehicle for the purpose of performing duties.

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including MS Project.
