Sierra is on the search for a HACCP Coordinator to join our team at our Brampton Processing Facility.
The position is responsible for ensuring the implementation and maintenance of the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) system throughout our meat processing operations. You will work closely with various departments to monitor, evaluate, and enhance our food safety protocols, contributing to the overall success of our commitment to delivering safe and quality products to our consumers.
The HACCAP Coordinator works closely with the FSQ Director, VP Processing, Plant Operations Leader and FSQ Manager to achieve projects and tasks.

- Package: 70-75K (CDN) + Vac, Benefits, Bonus
- Mon-Fri - Day shift with the flexibility required to support plant production requirements.
- On site - 275 Walker Drive in Brampton

The HACCAP Coordinator works closely with the FSQ Director, VP Processing, Plant Operations Leader and FSQ Manager to achieve projects and tasks.
What you will do:
- Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of the HACCP system in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct hazard analyses, identify critical control points, and establish preventive measures to mitigate food safety risks.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to HACCP activities, including monitoring, verification, and validation procedures.
- Prepare and update HACCP plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Provide HACCP training to employees across various departments to ensure a comprehensive understanding of food safety principles.
- Facilitate effective communication regarding HACCP requirements, changes, and updates within the organization.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to monitor the effectiveness of HACCP controls and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to verify compliance with HACCP protocols.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the HACCP system and implement necessary changes.
- Stay informed about changes in regulations and industry best practices, updating HACCP plans accordingly.
- Food Science or equivalent degree preferred.
- BSc. Degree in a food related field of study.
- Strong understanding of GMP's, HACCP, GFSI & CFIA regulations.
- Minimum 2 year experience in a food production environment in quality or product development function.
- Meat processing experience is an asset.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
- Fluent in English.
- Computer literacy: intermediate level spreadsheets, word processing, statistics, and internet.
- Good mathematical skills.
- Organizer, able to see process A to Z.
