Economic Analyst - Hybrid

Role Summary:

Are you someone who thrives on building trusting relationships and is excited by data analysis? We're looking for an experienced economic data analyst. The ideal candidate has a degree in economics or an MBA, as well as excellent communication and relationship building skills. Previous quantitative and qualitative analysis experience will be a key to success.

What You Will Do:

You'll spend your time on three key areas:

Economic research

  • Hands on: Initiate and develop economic and practice management surveys and oversee the process;
  • Produce annual reports and analyze monthly practice dashboards

Client Consults and Member Enquiries

  • Connect one-on-one with association members and practice owners to conduct detailed consultations;
  • Share research findings and provide guidance for process implementation and enhancements

Communication

  • Write articles on relevant topics for OVMA and partner publications;
  • Prepare and present research results to the Board of Directors, committees and at industry events

What You'll Bring to the Role:

  • Solid experience providing economic analysis; You know your way around data and can work with large amounts of information expertly
  • The ability to analyze data, produce reports along with editorialized articles that provide different perspectives of the data, effectively communicating with a nontechnical audience
  • Self starter with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Team ethic; You're a collaborative team player with the ability to think both objectively and critically
  • Creative problem solving skills

What we have to offer:

Salary range for this role is $79,000 - $100,000 per year with opportunity for advancement, bonuses and paid sick leave.

Location:

OVMA is located in Milton, Ontario. This role offers the opportunity for remote work from your home office up to 4 days/week.
