Century Transportation is currently seeking a Licensed 310T Mechanic for our Whitby location. The shift for this position is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Century is currently offering a $2,000 hiring bonus for Mechanics. Receive half after 3 months and the remainder following 6 months of employment!

Wage - $36.00 per hour

Qualifications

• 310T ticket
• Safety Inspection License
• Experience working with a Fleet Management System is considered an asset
• Previous school bus experience considered an asset
• Analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Own hand tools
• Valid driver's license
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Computer and diagnostic equipment skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently
• Strong time management skills and well-developed communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Comprehensive screening and background checks are required, including references, drug and alcohol testing and a criminal record check

Key Responsibilities

• Ongoing maintenance/repair of various school buses
• Brake and Safety Inspections
• Compliance with Company policies and procedures as well as the Provincial and Municipal laws and regulations governing the location is a must
