We are hiring for a Test Technician to work in our Technology Center. Your Purpose:
Every wonder how the food and dessert products that fill our grocery store shelves are made? As the Test Technician, you will provide technical support to our customers and conduct all in-house machine operation, evaluation, and testing needs on automated food production equipment through the Unifiller Technology Center. This is an entry level role with the intent of providing growth opportunities within Unifiller Systems. We will train you to become a specialist in the ever-expanding food production automation industry.
Your Primary Duties:
- Operate and perform in-house machine testing and evaluations on automated food production equipment – decorate cakes and automate production of food equipment as seen on How Its Made?
- Become a specialist in bakery and food production methods and automation; review and understand customers food production needs
- Work with your hands – operate and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical machines and systems (pneumatics, PLCs, HMI, Servos) – Run automated and semi-automated machinery to decorate cakes, inject pastries, and portion sauces.
- Work with our customers - Provide technical support for equipment and product applications – learn how to automate the production of bakery and food products
- Liaison with Research and Development to test and evaluate cutting edge food production technologies.
- Be Creative! -Assess potential sales opportunities; suggest improved methods and techniques to help with their food production challenges; recommend system improvements
- Document test results through video and written reports – video editing and create customer facing presentations to communicate test results
- Schedule and maintain the in-house customer testing calendar
- Organize, clean, and maintain the Unifiller Technology Center
- Other duties as assigned
Your qualifications:
- If you have experience in the Baking Industry or Food Industry, that is great as we work with a variety of products! If not, that's okay too!
- You have an educational background or experience with electrical/mechanical equipment – hands on experience with pneumatic systems a plus!
- You can interact with a variety of individuals from different backgrounds and cultures
- You can lift up to 50 lbs.
- You have experience with the following systems: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams). If you are not familiar with some, that is okay! As long as you are willing to learn, then we are willing to teach!
- You have amazing organizational, and time management skills and can multi-task
- You are an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing
- If you can speak a second language, that would be great! It makes it easier for us to communicate with our customers if we have staff that speaks their language. We currently speak 25+ different languages at Unifiller. Spanish would be a great asset.
