Job description
Our client is a Toronto based boutique personal injury firm. Due to expansion, they are currently looking to add an ambitious personal injury lawyer with either the plaintiff or defense experience.
Your new role
In this new role you will be responsible for drafting a range of documents including facta, opinion letters, settlement conference memoranda, pleadings, and various applications. In this new role you will attend examinations for discovery, case conferences, mediations, IBC and other insurance conferences, motions, appeals, pre-trial conferences, trials, and mediations/arbitrations and other hearings at the LAT, etc. You will also work on all aspects of a case including liability, financial and medical investigations.
What you will need to succeed
To be considered for this position, you must have minimum of 3 years' post-call experience, with demonstrated knowledge and interest in personal injury law. You should have extensive experience with respect to examinations for discovery, motions, and mediations. Trial experience, while not required, is an asset. You can work well under pressure, manage priorities, and meet deadlines. You will also have strong teamwork skills, trustworthy, accountable, proactive and a positive work attitude. In addition, you have membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
