DescriptionThe Data Quality Remediation Agent will be responsible for revising eCommerce content rejected by Data Quality Coordinators for error in the data capture in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. The incumbent is responsible for reviewing and acting on the eCommerce content internal rejections by assessing validity of flags against GS1 Canada's quality standards. The Data Quality Remediation Agent will also be responsible for providing feedback to the Coordinators and ensuring consistency is followed in the application of the data capture rules. The incumbent will also take part in the Content Capture activity. Key metrics for this role may include: consistently applying and enforcing the rules established by GS1 Canada team and third party provider to ensure data integrity goals are met, reaching defined data remediation targets and tracking daily tasks and activities.
WHAT YOU'LL DOeCommerce Content Remediation
  • Address internal rejections for eCommerce content to ensure 100% accuracy and compliance with GS1 Canada Standards
  • Assess validity of the flags added by Data Quality Coordinators and apply the corrections where the flags are valid or prepare and provide feedback to the coordinators where the rejections are incorrect
  • Deal with an extensive scope of products to remediate due to the overall low quality provided by the third-party partner while maintaining elite level of attention to details thus delivering a seamless result to GS1 subscribers
  • Work with Data Quality Advisors and Supervisor to identify and address recurring misidentification of errors and advise when additional training is needed for coordinators
  • Track each remediation performed and isolate critical errors for third party and/or internal team education
  • Apply incremental correction where needed to ensure consistency across catalogs
  • Monitor the workflow volume and advise the Supervisor on measure to be taken in order to reach zero closing on remediation
eCommerce Data Validation
  • Support with the review and approval of the eCommerce data attributes captured to ensure 100% accuracy and complete data is scraped. Ensure the consistency of quality provided by the 3rd party vendor
  • Ensure Canadian regulations are maintained with respect to Nutritional, Pharmaceutical, and other regulated packaging information
  • Tracking subscriber data capture requests to ensure specific guidelines are consistently followed
Special Projects & Tasks
  • Assist with daily reporting and assignment of daily workload
  • Take part in project deployment activities as an eCommerce content subject matter expert, such as requirements gathering and/or user acceptance testing, as require
  • Assist in onboarding and training of new team members
  • Responsible for ongoing comprehensive training of the third-party provider, participating in the 1:1 supervision of their team members
  • Support the development, updating and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process maps, as well as additional documents as required
  • Support with various other projects and tasks as assigned by the Supervisor
eCommerce Content Capture
  • Responsible for the content capture and verification of the eCommerce data attributes to aim at 100% accuracy and completeness of the scraped data ;
  • Maintain and apply established data quality rules, procedures, and policies for eCommerce data content, and where issues or ambiguity arise, determine and apply appropriate rule, policy or procedure and communicate to team to enable consistency ;
  • Maintain an elite level of attention to details thus delivering a seamless result to GS1 subscribers, cutting the number of steps twofold and cycle time required threefold compared to Third-Party partner workflow ;
  • Provide recommendations for enhancements and amendments to address systemic and process inefficiencies.
Defining success in this role
  • Maintain and apply established data quality rules, procedures and policies for eCommerce data content, and where issues or ambiguity arise, determine and apply appropriate rule, policy or procedure and communicate to team to enable consistency

WHAT YOU'LL BRING
  • College Diploma/Degree
  • 1-3 years' related experience with initial and On-going training
  • English/French - Bilingual
  • Knowledge is required for the application of practical methods & techniques, work procedures & processes and/or proficiency in the specialized use of materials equipment and tools. This knowledge is typically acquired through some specialized training
