Art Lead

We have a brand new role for an Art Lead to join our Growth Products team. In this role you will be responsible for driving the visual direction of all Growth Products games. You will be working in close collaboration with Product Managers, Producers and third party studios to ensure all aspects of game art are visually stunning, immersive and consistent across products.
The successful candidate must have previous experience in art roles within the casual mobile gaming or online social games industry.
Note: This is a hybrid position in Toronto.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Communicate a compelling artistic vision for Growth Products games, ensuring alignment with the overall Growth Products strategy
- Direct the creation of high-quality assets by third party studios, maintaining consistency and high standards across all Growth Products games
- Uphold high-quality standards for all art and design deliverables, conducting regular reviews and ensuring third party partners are delivering as required
- Collaborate with internal team members and external partners to develop realistic timelines and ensure timely and efficient delivery of art assets
- Work closely and collaboratively with the central creative team to align on a cohesive creative vision for all new products and ensure consistency with the branding vision.
- Manage the performance of team members, holding them accountable for agreed outcomes
- Coach team members to reach their full potential within their position and support them to pursue opportunities for development
What you will bring to the role:
- Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience (ideally 8+ years) in art roles within the casual mobile gaming industry
- Experience working with third party partners, ensuring quality and consistency across a portfolio of products
- A strong portfolio showcasing successful projects
- Demonstrable expertise in 2D and 3D art creation tools (eg: Photoshop, Illustrator, Unity etc)
- Passion for gaming and a demonstrated strong appreciation for the intersection of art and technology
