CUTTER OPERATOR

Located in Mississauga, Apex Graphics is currently looking for Full Time Cutter Operator - afternoons. Forty (40) hours guaranteed, complete with overtime opportunities, vacation pay, and company paid benefits. Come for the opportunity but stay for a career!
Who are you?
The right candidate is detail oriented and quality conscious and will be working on the afternoon shift (Monday thru Thursday 3:48pm - 1:48am), and will be expected to conduct the following:
- Review dockets, fully understand job specifications and complete all required paperwork including; label requests, logbooks, skid tickets, etc.
- Jog and cut stock to ensure high quality product, as per docket specifications
- Operate cutting machine and any peripheral equipment attached, under the direction of Cutter Operator
- Wrap final product and place in staging area for next stage of operation
- Follow all Apex Graphics Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
- Able to work in a safe and organized manner
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or fast paced environment
- Able to perform the physical requirements of the position which may include bending, reaching, lifting (up to 35lbs), standing for long periods and repetitive motions
- Other duties as may be assigned from time to time
The successful candidate will have the following skills & attributes:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant cutting experience
- Ability to both set up and run all jobs assigned
- Sharp attention to detail coupled with a strong mechanical aptitude
- Work effectively within a team environment and able to work independently
- Demonstrated ability to be adaptable and flexible as needs arise
- Strong command of both written and verbal English language
