Join CASA Mental Health as an Event Support Student and gain valuable experience while delivering a high level of service to donors and partners. This position will engage the community to raise funds for the ongoing development and delivery of CASA's programs and services in support of child, youth and family mental health.

Salary range/Wage range: $20.00
Shift structure: Monday to Friday, 7.25 hours per day

About the Role
Reporting to the Philanthropy Officer of Signature Events, the Event Support Student will play a key role in Zin on the River, one of CASA's signature events, by assisting with logistics, partnerships and fundraising, stewardship and impact reporting for the event.
The Event Support Student will:
  • Contribute to the coordination and implementation of CASA's Zin on the River event, ensuring effective administration and management of goals and objectives.
  • Support various events and community fundraising as required.
  • Provide a debrief report on all events, including a return on investment report.
  • Assist with securing event partnerships and ensure timely payment of pledges.
  • Steward event partners, guests, donors and volunteers before, during and after events.
  • Complete administration and record-keeping tasks as required.
  • Support the Philanthropy team as required.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience with fundraising events, sponsorship and working with non-profit organizations are considered assets.
  • Valid Canadian driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a high-volume work environment.
  • Self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and with fundraising data entry.
  • Ability to foster strong relationships with CASA leaders, volunteers and community representatives to promote fundraising priorities.
  • Commitment to exceptional service and alignment with CASA's core values.

Conditions of Employment
  • A satisfactory Police Information Check. This would be the financial responsibility of the successful candidate.
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or exemption on the basis of a protected legal ground.
