Compensation range: $50K- $55K CAD per annum

The Compensation Range includes the span between the minimum and maximum base salary. The midpoint of the range is approximately halfway between the minimum and the maximum base salary and can be considered for an employee with full job knowledge, required qualifications and experience for the position.

Position Start date: May 20, 2024

Position End date: One- year term, with a possibility of extension.

Organizational Status:
We are currently looking forward to welcoming an Assistant Manager, Domestic Student Advising & Recruitment. You will be part of our fantastic team and report directly to the Director - Domestic Student Advising and Recruitment. You'll be part of a team of experienced and passionate people who believe in a higher education and work hard behind the scenes to help its students thrive in Canada. We are looking for an ambitious, ethical, and result-oriented professional with proven sales performance to join our team and support our enrollment growth initiatives as a Student Advising and Recruitment. Reporting to the Admission Head, the Student Advising & Recruiting - Assistant Managers promotes & sells the educational programs of the school to potential students, ensures applications are complete & in full compliance with all provincial regulatory requirements, and is responsible for meeting specific KPIs to exceed the school's enrollment targets each month.

Your primary responsibilities include prospect engagement, partnership recruitment.

You will contribute directly to the college revenue growth by selling diverse educational program offerings to prospective students. The position works closely with campus financial staff.

Job responsibilities:

Advising and Counseling:

  • Using standardized presentation and communication tools; provide detailed information on programs and services to help a potential student make the decision to apply to CICCC.
  • Use their expertise to determine and overcome potential challenges that may keep someone from attending such as: Housing solutions; Financial assistance/student Loans; ESL assistance.
  • Coaching enrolled students to help them through to successful starting school, including assistance and resources for housing, student loans, etc;
  • Assists in analyzing and offer recommendations on the strategies for attracting more potential students.
  • Provide personalized guidance to prospective students regarding academic programs, admission requirements, and career pathways.
  • Conduct one-on-one advising sessions to help students identify their educational goals and develop an academic plan.
  • Offer support to current students by addressing academic concerns, providing resources for success, and assisting with program changes or transfers.
  • Advising and assisting companies regarding regulatory policies and practices, ensuring internal adherence to regulations, and preparing submissions and filings with regulatory agencies.

Recruitment and Outreach:

  • Identify and qualify potential full-time students by ensuring that all appointments and contacts are handled promptly and thoroughly in a professional manner.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of recruitment strategies to attract a diverse student population.
  • Represent the college at recruitment events, college fairs, and high school visits to promote programs and engage with prospective students.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communication teams to create promotional materials and online content targeting prospective students.
  • Using standardized presentation and communication CRM tools; provide detailed information on programs and services to help a potential student make the decision to apply to CICCC.

Application and Enrollment Management:

  • Guide students through the application process, including reviewing applications, verifying credentials, and assisting with required documentation.
  • Coordinate with admissions staff to ensure timely processing of applications and accurate record-keeping.
  • Work with potential students to secure all required materials needed for acceptance including: transcripts, financial planning, specific program requirements, and necessary paperwork.

Data Management and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate notes of all communications/conversations in the appropriate CICCC and CRM.
  • Maintain accurate records of student interactions, application statuses, and enrollment statistics on the CRM.
  • Supports in investigating managerial policies and programs to determine their efficacy and efficiency
  • Generate reports on recruitment and enrollment metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of strategies and identify areas for improvement.
  • Utilize student information systems and tools to track student progress and support decision-making processes.

Collaboration and Professional Development:

  • Work closely with Admissions Department staff to ensure full retention of student application and enrollment.
  • Reporting weekly to the Director of Admissions on all enrollment activities (e.g.; leads, appointments, interviews, enrollments;
  • Build referral networks through maintaining a visible presence on campus and helping out with admissions
  • Collaborate with academic advisors, faculty members, and other campus stakeholders to support student success initiatives.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices in student advising, and changes in admission requirements.
  • Participate in Orientation Days for all new incoming full-time students.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities, workshops, and training sessions to enhance advising skills and knowledge.

Supervision ReceivedWorks independently and in collaboration with the Director, Domestic Student Advising and Recruitment. The performance is evaluated for efficiency, effectiveness, achievement of objectives, and quality of work.

Supervision GivenNone but may train any new employee.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the related field or relevant education.
  • Working in an educational institution is preferred.
  • Excellent/Good organizational skills, communications skills- oral and written and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficient in standard Microsoft applications and productivity tools
  • Familiarity with CRM systems or other call management software is a plus
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Multilingual and able to communicate with ease
  • Understand the educational student recruitment system.
  • Ability to make a high volume of reachouts to people (80-150 per day) while maintaining a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Comprehensive understanding of their area of sales, including fast-moving items and consumer goods
  • Ability to stay helpful, polite, and confident, and have the resources to resolve customer issues.
  • Comfortable working with other members of the sales team to support their process and goals.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, organize, meet deadlines, be dependable, and stay flexible.
