Huronia Transition Homes is a multi-site, multi-program organization operating throughout Simcoe County, providing shelter, support, education and advocacy to women and their children who have experienced abuse.

We are currently hiring Contract Group Facilitators for our Choices for Children program. Contract Facilitators will work 2.5 hours/week for 10 weeks to assist with the delivery of a program that supports children who have been exposed to violence against their mothers.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Group facilitation experience, sound knowledge of group dynamics and group processes
  • Knowledge of the issues and complexities faced by women who have experienced violence
  • An understanding of, and ability to work with, diverse women and children from various socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds
  • Knowledge of, and/or experience in, providing trauma-informed care
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a cohesive team
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel within Simcoe County, valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
  • Willingness to support with food preparation and clean-up
  • Genuine interest in our mission
