We have an opportunity for an Accounts Payable Representative within our Accounting Department at our head office location in Vancouver, BC.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for processing and coding all vendor invoices, processing vendor payments, vendor account reconciliations, invoice filing, vendor file setup and liaison with vendors and with GCT's terminal operations. The AP Representative will also perform specific general ledger account reconciliations and other duties as may be assigned to the position.

Requirements:

You bring the following skills and experience:

• Strong knowledge of the Purchase to Pay cycle
• Knowledge of accounting processes
• Strong analytical and mathematical abilities
• Proficiency with numeric data entry, keyboarding and emails
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Word and Excel
• Detail oriented - consistently check processes and tasks for accuracy and completeness
• Innovative and creative - striving for continuous improvement
• Experience with Infor Cloud Suite Financials is an asset
• Experience with electronic fund transfer

You also bring solid problem-solving skills, as well as your flexibility to perform multiple tasks. You are able to work effectively with a team or work group, as well as work independently. You have strong verbal and written communication skills to manage day to day inquiries from vendors or internal departments. You possess strong organizational skills able to set priorities and manage tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

These capabilities have typically been developed through some post-secondary coursework in a Business or Commerce program, and preferably the completion of at least one accounting course, or a combination of education, training, and experience in a related discipline. At least 2 years of accounts payable experience is preferred.

Compensation

• Salary Range $67,128 - $78,504

The typical hiring range for this position is $67,128-$78,504 per annum. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education, and/or training. Please note that the range details above reflect the base pay only and do not include our competitive bonus program and benefits.
