HR Business Partner, Full Time

This position plays a key role in supporting our personnel to achieve business goals and ensuring that our employees are priority. As a HR Business Partner, you will be accountable to fulfill a broad spectrum of day-to-day HR activities and provide consultation to the Management team. This role will report to the VP of Finance who is remote and requires a confident individual who is independent, focused and strategic.

The location for this role is Abbotsford or Vancouver, BC with a requirement to visit the other offices.

Responsibilities

  • Complete and process documentation as they relate to activities within the employee lifecycle including recruitment, offboarding, leaves of absences, benefits and compensation changes, employee engagement activities and performance management.
  • Guide and support the management team with implementing HR programs across the organization.
  • Act as a resource to Managers on issues relating to policy interpretation, employee relations and all HR inquiries.
  • Effectively communicate with employees within the organization providing advice, assistance and follow up on policies and programs.
  • Gather, solicit and report on information to aid business decisions and process improvement.
  • Manage the HRIS system, BambooHR procedures and provide ongoing reporting requirements.
  • Assist employees with questions related to leaves of absence, benefits and general employee enquiries.
  • Provides solutions and consultation on complex employee relations issues through effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal contacts as needed/required.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Partners closely with management and employees to advance work relations, increase morale, and enhance productivity and retention.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

  • Preferred; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
  • CPHR designation would be considered an asset.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience as a HRBP or similar role
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, tight timelines, and multiple priorities, in a fast-moving, constantly changing environment.
  • Strong aptitude for business acumen and applying this as it relates to all HR solutions.
  • Independent and focused individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
