Position Available: Supply Chain Coordinator

Location: Vancouver, British Columbia

Role Overview:

Rove Concepts is currently on the search for a Supply Chain Coordinator - Inbound to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be a meticulous individual with an enthusiastic, curious, and motivated personality to learn and contribute to the business. With great exposure too much of the business' operations, will receive a deepened knowledge and understanding of the logistics and supply chain side of the business. What you'll do:

  • Coordinate shipment of products, working closely with logistics partners to optimize shipping schedules, minimize costs, and ensure on-time delivery
  • Maintain communication with suppliers to track shipments, resolve any issues or delays, and ensure compliance with delivery schedules
  • Manage documentation related to inbound shipments, including bills of lading, packing lists, customs paperwork, and invoices. Maintaining accurate records of inventory levels and inbound shipments
  • Prepare container data uploads within our inventory management system
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as planning and production, to coordinate logistics activities and support overall supply chain operations.
  • Monitor and inspect shipments for accuracy, quality, and compliance with specifications. Address any discrepancies or quality issues with suppliers or internal teams
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and requirements for inbound shipments, including customs regulations, import/export laws, and safety standards
  • Provide support in preparing ad-hoc reporting and analytical activities on an as-needed basis
  • Identify and resolve issues or challenges related to logistics, such as transportation delays, inventory shortages, or supplier issues
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction within the supply chain, implementing strategies to streamline operations and enhance efficiency

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong fundamental skills in Excel with the ability to navigate through large data sets.
  • Experience in supply chain management, logistics, or related roles, with a strong understanding of supply chain processes and best practices would be considered an asset.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and suppliers.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to supply chain operations.
  • Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and handle pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Some exposure to supply chain systems would be considered an asset
