We are looking for a Mobile Leader to join our growing tech team and build a world class mobile development team. Our mobile team will excel in designing, developing, and maintaining our mobile applications on the iOS and Android platforms that inspire our customers and drive our business objectives.

What You'll Do

  • Lead by doing! Directly develop our mobile applications while recruiting and building a team of outstanding mobile developers
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, medical professionals, subject matter experts to craft requirements, specifications, and user stories for mobile applications
  • Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure mobile solutions for iOS and Android platforms using industry best practices and coding standards
  • Conduct code reviews, mentor junior team members, and provide technical guidance and expertise to ensure code quality, consistency, and adherence to design patterns
  • Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate mobile applications with server-side APIs
  • Share your wisdom and insights to mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance to help them level up their skills and grow
  • Work together with our backend engineers to connect our apps to the cloud, databases, and third-party services
  • Keep on top of the latest mobile tech trends and bring fresh ideas to the team

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • 8+ years of experience in mobile application development, with a strong focus on iOS and/or Android platforms
  • 5+ years of experience in team leading and managing strong innovative developers
  • Proficiency in Swift, React Native, Objective-C (for iOS) and/or Kotlin, Java (for Android), as well as familiarity with relevant frameworks and SDKs
  • Solid understanding of mobile app architecture, design patterns, and development methodologies
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and automated testing frameworks
  • Passion for pushing the boundaries of what's possible
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and project management tools
  • Contributions to open-source projects, participation in tech communities, or attendance at conferences/meetups

Base salary for this role ranges from $117,593 - $147,000 in local currency depending upon experience

This is a remote position, the employee must be located in Vancouver.
