Required Skills:
Over 7 years of experience in QA engineering, including leadership roles in managing complex QA projects.
Strong coding skills in JavaScript with extensive experience using Mocha, Chai, Selenium, cypress/playwright for testing.
Outstanding leadership skills with the ability to guide and inspire a team.
Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Experience in video metadata ingestion, especially relating to Comcast or similar platforms, is highly desirable.
ISTQB certification is a plus but not required.
Experience with Jira Xray or other test case management tools.
Knowledge of GitHub, CI, and DevOps practices.
Scrum certifications.
Roles and responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and manage QA strategies and processes to ensure high quality and reliability of software.
Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers in writing, executing, and fixing integration tests.
Proactively analyze current coding and requirements to identify and mitigate risks before they impact production.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure test cases are created in alignment with user requirements.
Deliver detailed project reports and maintain communication with stakeholders to ensure project timelines are met.
Manage production issues by leading rapid response efforts to diagnose and resolve urgent bugs.
Develop tests to prevent similar issues from reoccurring and enhance the stability of production environments.
Foster an environment of continuous improvement by introducing innovation and best practices in QA processes.
Perform acceptance testing/business validation to ensure developed features are working as per specifications.
Build a self-managed, cross-functional team within an Agile/Scrum environment
Play a key role in project management, keeping the team focused and aligned with overall business objectives.
