Primoris Canada is an infrastructure contractor serving major firms in the oil, gas, power, petrochemical, and heavy oil industries and include services covering tailings and hydro-transport pipeline construction and maintenance, storage tank construction and maintenance, industrial facilities multi-discipline construction and maintenance, piping fabrication, and pipeline integrity services.

SUMMARY

The Hydro tester is involved in connecting pipe, hydro-testing, and rigging. This work exists indoors and outdoors and is typically physically demanding. Dayshift and nightshift available.

Location: Edmonton, AB Fabrication Shop

Anticipated Start Date: May 13, 2024

Shift: 4&3, Monday - Thursday (10-hour Days or Nights)

Rate: $29.76-$53.15 (Inclusive of employer contributions for vacation/statutory, health and welfare, RSP, RSP matching, and education and training)

JOB DUTIES

• Comply with Company and Client Safety rules, as well as OH&S standards
• Select type of pipe, size of pipe, and systems by applying knowledge of system operation and following blueprints
• Perform pressure tests by increasing pressure in pipe systems and observing pressure gauges to test for leaks
• Attend required safety and tailgate/toolbox meetings
• May perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• CSTS-09 or CSTS-20
• Knowledge of hydro testing is required
• Alberta registered apprentice or ticketed journeyman (or hold an apprenticeship or journeyman certificate recognized by AIT)
• Overhead crane and rigging considered an asset
• Able to work well in a team environment
• Must be physically able to lift 50lbs and climb in/under units in the field
• Organized and self-motivated
