This position is required on site Monday to Friday at our location in Calgary, AB.
Day-to-day responsibilities of the Electrical Engineer will include:
- Supporting electronic hardware design including block diagrams, PCB schematic and layout , and manufacturing design transfer
- Supporting design of process control and automation systems including electrical architecture diagrams, schematics, and other work packages
- Conceptualization of architecture solution paths for highly customized client design requirements
- Developing scripts and other software tools to enhance or optimize testing, reporting, or analysis
- Identifying industry standards and codes relevant to a product, analyzing pertinent clauses for the product, and verifying compliance with these standards
- Collaborating in design team meetings including project and design review
- Electronics prototyping including hand soldering and PCB rework
- Test plan development and preparing test reports
- Test execution, measurement, and analysis of hardware design
On your resume, we ask that you demonstrate:
- Degree in Electrical, Computer, or Electronics Engineering
- Exposure to Altium Designer or other PCB and schematic development tools
- Understanding and demonstrated application of regulatory standards and codes (e.g. IEC/CSA 60601-1, 60079-1, 61010-1, FCC part 15/ICES-003)
- 3-5 years experience in prototype development, testing, and manufacturing environments
