Role: SQL Developer

Location: TORONTO (hybrid 3 days' work from office ).

Duration: Contract

JOB DESCRIPTION ::

• 7+ Yrs. in Enterprise MySQL management and support
• Expertise in core MySQL database technologies
• Apple to deploy and replicate MySQL DB
• Experience with HA config of MySQL.
• Strong performance tuning and optimization skills.
• Nice to have 2+ yrs. experience in SQL Server and Oracle.
• Using OEM Cloud Control to navigate
• ASM - Providing storage.
• Data Guard (investigate and fix PROD clone issues)
• SolarWinds Monitoring
• Expanding storage for database.
• Track always-on replication.

Routine Activities

• Perform backup and restore of the database using native database backup or Commvault tool.
• Performance Improvement (Help with and solve database performance issues)
• Setting up and responding to alerts and monitoring
• Support on call database issue.
• Access Provisioning and service requests
• Refresh database for Application team.

General skills:

• Strong and efficient communicator
• Able to collaborate well with others.

Experience in scripting, command line, shell, git, etc.
