JOB PURPOSE

The Human Resources Generalist is a multifaceted role with a primary focus on recruitment activities while also providing support in employee relations and general HR functions. This position plays a critical role in attracting top talent, managing the recruitment process, and fostering positive employee relations within Netagen.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recruitment and Talent Acquisition
    • Lead the full-cycle recruitment process for technical and non-technical positions, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer negotiations.
    • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, develop job descriptions, and create recruitment strategies.
    • Utilizing various recruitment channels, including job board, social media, professional networks, and employee referrals to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates.
    • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
    • Conducting thorough market research to stay updated on industry trends and competitor hiring strategies.
    • Building and maintaining a strong talent pool of professionals for future opportunities.
  • HR Administration and Compliance
    • Assist with HR administrative tasks, including maintaining employee records, updating HRIS system, and preparing reports.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
    • Support HR initiatives and projects such as performance management, employee engagement, and diversity and inclusion efforts.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Onboarding and Offboarding
    • Coordinate new hire onboarding process, including orientation sessions and paperwork completion.
    • Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback to identify trends for improvement.
  • Training and Development
    • Collaborate with managers to identify training needs and coordinate employee development initiatives.
    • Collaborate with internal departments and Vendor Partner team's to track and maintain industry specific certifications, ensuring required certifications are completed and maintained.
    • Assist in the design and delivery of training programs on topic such as diversity awareness, conflict resolution, and performance management.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business, or related field.

Experience

  • 3-5 years of recruitment experience.
  • Proven experience in technical recruiting preferably in the technology industry.
  • Experience in volume recruitment, potentially recruiting up 5 or more positions at one time.
  • Knowledge of employee relations principles, practices, and applicable laws.

Soft Skills/Other

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and resolve conflicts.
  • Fluently bilingual in English and French, both written and oral.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of legal and compliance issues related to recruitment.
  • Strong sourcing and networking abilities
  • Excellent interviewing and assessment skills
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities
  • Adaptability and resilience in a dynamic hiring landscape.
  • Strong attention to detail and data-driven decision-making.
