Western Toyota has an immediate opening for a Parts Advisor at our Corner Brook location. If you feel that you have the skills and abilities to contribute to our parts department, we encourage you to apply.

The Parts Advisor handles shipping and receiving for the Parts Department and covers the parts counter when required, as well as a list of other duties that you'll handle on a daily basis. This is a unionized position with opportunity for advancement.

What You'll Do:

• Open and close the Parts Department (unlock/lock doors, dumpsters, and look after cash).
• Maintain displays (e.g. windshield wash).
• Unload parts from delivery truck and organize shipments into stock, parts, and shop service orders.
• Label and receive all parts.
• Code invoices for accounting.
• Sort, label, and put parts away or ship out as required.
• Print received orders for parts, service, and shop.
• Print work orders and check upcoming appointments to ensure parts are in stock (if not, check status of order).
• Serve internal customers (technicians and sales staff).
• Answer calls and serve customers when needed, and call customers to notify them that their parts have arrived.
• Bill and ship out parts when required and send daily ground and air orders when Parts I is not available.
• Help on front parts counter as required.
• Other related duties as required.
  

Requirements

• Minimum high school graduate, but post-secondary education would be an asset.
• Experience working in shipping and receiving preferred.
• Experience working in an automotive parts department would be an asset.
• Proficient in English (reading, writing, and oral interaction).
• Driver's license is required.
