Yabu Pushelberg, an award-winning multidisciplinary design firm specializing in the design of high-end hospitality and retail design, is currently seeking an experienced Industrial/Furniture designer to join our team at our Toronto studio.

We welcome designers with a portfolio that can speak to a global point of view. Experience working with global clientele in the luxury hospitality and/or retail realm is an immense asset. Must be able to thrive working across a vast landscape of shifting design challenges on stringent deadlines while maintaining a keen eye for detail.
Your Responsibilities
- Original concept development through sketching, 3D modeling and rendering
- Developing detailed technical drawings and overseeing the prototyping process
- Working closely with the Industrial Design team, Interior teams, Project Management and Creative directors
- Developing custom furniture for interior design projects as well as products for production in collaboration with premium furniture brands from around the world
- Utilizing AI tools and staying abreast of current AI tools and resources to augment the concept and rendering processes
- Traveling internationally for prototype reviews, client meetings and trade shows
Your Qualifications
- 3+ years of practical work experience
- A degree in Industrial or Furniture Design is an asset
- Previous experience in luxury hospitality and retail environments is an asset
- Proficient in Solidworks and Keyshot, Blender is an asset
- Strong sketching ability, visualization skills
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and techniques; with hands on experience building furniture and products as asset
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), strong graphic and presentation skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to switch and prioritize between several projects or tasks at once, working independently and within a team environment
- Ability to switch between different design genres and styles, as required by project
