POSITION: Personal Lines Insurance Advisor

JOB TYPE: Full Time (35 hour work week)

LOCATION: Grande Prairie, AB

JOB SUMMARY:
The Agency is assisting in the confidential recruitment of a full time Personal Lines Insurance Advisor. If you hold a minimum General Agent Level 1 License and share a passion for providing great customer service along with offering great products, then this opportunity is for you! The successful individual will be responsible for managing both new and existing Personal Lines business. This will involve direct interaction with customers as well as providing support for various technical duties as part of a collaborative team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client inquiries and concerns in a timely manner
  
• Complete Personal Lines applications and endorsements for automobile, fire, liability, property, and other insurance
  
• Meticulously complete insurance documents to accurately determine risks, premiums, coverage, and contract terms using relevant resources for home and auto policies
  
• Communicate with policyholders to explain policy details, analyze their needs, and recommend coverage adjustments
  
• Conduct oneself as a General Insurance Agent in compliance with government regulations
  
• Determine appropriate insurance coverage for clients, calculate applicable premiums, and establish payment methods
  

• Order property inspections for new business

• Represent the company at marketing events as assigned by the Manager

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations, product offerings, and market trends
  
• Work in conjunction with other departments, including underwriting, accounting, claims, IT, and loss control
  

• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• A General Agent Level 2 License by the Alberta Insurance Council
  • Will consider candidate with Level 1 License and industry experience
    

• Two (2) years industry experience is preferred

• Knowledge in Alberta property, casualty, and automobile personal lines insurance
  

• Excellent customer service skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Exceptional attention to detail
