-Checks and accounts for all student passengers and maintains order on the school bus
- Makes certain students are seated promptly after boarding the bus and remain seated until the bus reaches its destination;
- Seats and places students in order to control behaviour
- Assists students in wheelchairs and applies safety and restraining devices as needed
- Assists students on and off the bus
- Monitors student behaviour on the bus and alerts the bus driver of problems that occur on the bus and at student stops
- Maintains a daily log of problems encountered and actions taken
- Delivers incident log and makes oral and/or written reports to the bus driver at the conclusion of the work day
- May be required to operate the bus radio in the case of emergency
- May be required to administer first-aid
- Attends job-training workshops, meetings
- Performs other related duties as required.
