Our office in Stoney Creek, Ontario, is looking for an organized, proactive, and effective Electrical Coordinator to support its project site in St. Catharines, Ontario for an approximate duration of 12 months.

Summary of the Role:

Reporting to the Area Manager and Project Manager, the Electrical Coordinator will assist with all aspects of contract administration and contractual obligations including those relating to QA/QC, tooling, subcontractors/suppliers/fabrications/vendors, contract changes, order changes, drawings, procurement, and material requisitions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent E.S. Fox Limited as the point of contact with the owner in a professional and fair manner.
  • Understand all aspects of a project budget and liaise with the owner on all cost related issues.
  • Assist in developing overall project schedules and oversee the maintenance, progress, and issuance of schedule.
  • Fully understand the project scope and liaise with the owner on all scope issues.
  • Understand and administer the contractual agreements between E.S. Fox Limited and the owner and ensure conformance with contract documents.
  • Address all relevant issues with the appropriate correspondence in a professional manner.
  • Assist in ensuring the project is executed in a safe manner following the E.S. Fox Limited safety policy and OSHA guidelines.
  • Assist in ensuring the appropriate level of quality assurance is applied to the project with the appropriate resources.
  • Assist in developing and/or overseeing the development of all project requisitions while working with the central purchasing group to obtain all material in accordance with project schedules.
  • Work with the QA/QC Leads in all aspects to ensure the full extent of QA/QC procedures, codes, etc. are carried out and are within project requirements.
  • Build and organize "work packages" that work crews will build and install.
  • Support Managers to recognize and retain a productive workforce.
  • Support Managers to recognize and address issues concerning performance and production.
  • Understands job costing and tracking reports, i.e. - dollars, hours, schedule, etc.
  • Assist in the assembly of estimates for projects and project extras.
  • Ensures responsibilities and accountabilities are carried out in a safe manner in accordance with E.S. Fox Limited safety policy/procedures, ISO 18001 standards and OHSA requirements.
  • Ensures that environmental aspects within his/her sphere of responsibility are adhered to pursuant to ISO 14001 requirements.

Key Requirements, Experience and Skills

  • Good sound knowledge in current electrical code.
  • Community College Technologist/Technician Diploma (C.E.T. desired).
  • New graduate, eager for a challenge
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline would be an asset.
  • Previous Construction Site Experience
  • Experience in "automotive" plant installation work an asset.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Scheduling, Job Costing and Project Tracking Systems
  • Strong technical skills and/or aptitude an asset, interpersonal and Organizational Skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of Project Management Software (MS Project, Primavera etc.)
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent Communication skills (both verbal and written) are required.
