The Opportunity:

Scope of the position

RSL is seeking to identify a People and Culture Administrator who is a vital member of the People and Culture team and provides support for HRIS, Onboarding and Orientation, and other daily administrative duties. Please note: This role will be based out of RSL's head office in Burnaby and will report to the Generalist, People and Culture. The incumbent will partner closely with employees at all levels across the business.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Supports the People and Culture Generalist by participating in the development and implementation of People and Culture initiatives in areas such as Recruitment, Onboarding and Orientation, Employee Relations, and Learning and Development.
  • Ensures the HRIS is fully leveraged to meet strategic business and employee learning needs.
  • Organize, maintain, and update the HRIS modules such as recruitment, onboarding, document manager, surveys, performance management, and the learning management system.
  • Assist the People and Culture team in the design and creation of professional and engaging PowerPoint presentations.
  • Use Microsoft Excel to track employee data, generate reports, and analyze trends.
  • Create and update training materials using Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Participate and engage in special project teams as requested.
  • Provide administrative support for People and Culture programs that support the entire employee lifecycle, compensation programs, benefits administration, recruitment, etc.
  • Maintain electronic personnel files.
  • Other reasonable duties and projects as may be required from time to time.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 1 - 2 years of administration experience
  • Certificate or Diploma in a related Business, Finance, Human Resources, Learning and Development or related field.
  • Excellent MS Office skills, specifically PowerPoint, excel and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge database system, HRIS or Applicant Tracking System.
  • Exceptional communication skills with excellent listening, interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
  • History of setting and achieving goals and accomplishing tasks with aggressive timelines.
  • An individual with high integrity, creativity, and a roll-up-your-sleeves work ethic.
  • An ability to prioritize, manage time effectively, escalate issues appropriately, and keep the information confidential is critical to this position.

What we offer:

The target salary range for this position is $52,000 - $56,000 CAD. The pay range for this position is a general guideline only. The salary will depend on internal pay equity and the candidate's relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and job market data.
