As a member of our Reporting to the Instrumentation Sales Team Lead, the Inside Sales person will be responsible for helping to grow our Instrumentation business in the Atlantic Canadian market, through assistance in sourcing products, preparing quotations, entering orders and addressing customer service related inquiries. Some of the additional expectations of this role would include:

Who we are looking for is a teammate that is:

  • A highly motivated sales support team member focused on responsiveness to client needs.
  • Experienced in the sales process, including sourcing product, preparing quotes, and providing sales and product information in a technical environment.
  • Attentive to details in every aspect of the job from their technical knowledge to their use of CRM tools, and their sales pipeline management.
  • Adaptable. Things can change quickly, and they don't sweat the small stuff.
  • A team player who has no issues lending a hand or asking for one.
  • Keenly interested and experienced in instrumentation and controls.

What their day/week looks like:

  • Sourcing product, preparing quotes, providing product information and devising solutions to meet client requirements.
  • Preparing bids, submissions, and documentation, or other sales support activities to assist in the successful closure of sales..
  • Assisting in the maintenance of vendor and product information in the ERP system.
  • Taking part in any related training or certification courses.
  • Attending industry related trade shows and events, as required, to promote KD Pratt , our product lines, services and our business units.
  • Supporting team members in the safe, efficient delivery of superior service to our clients.

They must also possess the following experience and training credentials:

  • 2+ years of experience in the instrumentation and controls industry complimented by completion of a technical diploma in instrumentation, or related field.
  • Relevant experience in inside sales or sales support of product/service-based solutions.
  • Valid drivers license.
  • Familiarity with computerized ERP and CRM systems would also be an asset.

This job requires in person interaction. Overtime may be necessary; therefore, flexibility in hours of work will be required.
