Crowe MacKay LLP is excited to grow our team and is currently searching for a Senior Tax Specialist Accountant opportunity in Kelowna. The Role

  • Preparation of tax files.
  • Preparation and review of personal, corporate and trust income tax returns.
  • Undertaking tax research with guidance from senior specialists.
  • Undertaking tax projects under supervision of senior specialists.
  • Liaise with tax authorities on tax audits and appeals.
  • Develop strategies for clients to capitalize on business opportunities.
  • Identify and document tax filing positions, including risk analysis.
  • Research and analysis of a variety of tax issues.
  • Prepare internal and external client correspondence.

What You Will Bring

  • CPA designation.
  • 2-4 years' experience in public accounting, Tax experience an asset.
  • Enrolled, or willing to enroll, in the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course.
  • Familiarity with CaseWare, Microsoft Office and Tax Prep.
  • Ability to interact with clients, co-workers, Managers and Partners.
  • Able to prioritize workloads, meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Values teamwork, client/customer service, professionalism, quality in detailed work, community involvement, personal and professional growth.
