Job Title: Water Technician - Skilled Labourer

Location: Trail, BC

Hours of Work: 10 -12 hours per shift

Shift Work Schedule: Project duration is 2 years and schedule is still be worked out

Company Overview: Grizzlytrek is supporting a leading environmental solutions provider committed to ensuring the sustainable management of water resources. We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Water Technician to join our team for an exciting project in Trail, BC.

Position Overview: As a Water Technician, you will play a crucial role in the successful execution of our water management project. This position involves working 10-hour shifts on a rotating schedule for a project duration of 2 years. You will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to water treatment, monitoring, and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform installation, commissioning, maintenance, repair, and operation of custom-built mobile water treatment equipment.
  • Optimize equipment and troubleshoot for deficiencies on a continuous basis.
  • Accurately collect and compile sample data for reporting to stakeholders
  • Calibrate equipment as per operating manual requirements.
  • Interpret results and adjust equipment.
  • Other related duties as requested.
  • Conduct equipment and site inspections.
  • Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions and system alarms
  • Collaborate with a team of professionals to ensure project goals are met
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in water treatment or a related field
  • Knowledge of water treatment processes and equipment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to listen and want to learn
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to work in a shift-based schedule

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Relevant certifications in water treatment or a related field (asset)
  • Physical fitness for manual labor and outdoor work
  • Valid driver's license
