Summary
The Sample Management and Logistics Associate I (SM&L Associate I) for CellCarta Logistics reports to the SM&L Supervisor. The SM&L Associate I's focus is to assure that shipment tracking and sample management is done accurately and on time so that information and data is available to clients within a quick and consistent turn around time.
The SM&L Associate I is expected to work effectively with the Project Management team as well as their counterparts within the department to ensure that data and queries are available and resolved in a timely manner, or escalated to their SM&L Team Lead for resolution.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinating and monitoring sample shipments from sites
  • Send sample shipment emails to investigator sites
  • Receive paperwork corresponding to sample shipments and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery of samples to analytical laboratories
  • Populate/transcribe all data from paperwork to create electronic shipment manifest and peer review
  • Resolve queries related to sample discrepancies and escalate any that are needed to the SM&L Team Lead
  • Create sample shipment sales orders
  • Notify lab of sample shipments
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve queries or discrepancies

Education
  • Completion of a post secondary degree
Main RequirementsSkills & Abilities
  • Previous experience with data entry an asset
  • Entry- to intermediate-level proficiency in Office 365 applications
  • Ability to establish work priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills including reading and writing, verbal and editing skills
  • Possess strong organizational skills and able to multi-task efficiently
  • Able to work in a collaborative environment as well as independently
  • Attention to detail when doing repetitive tasks
Physical Requirements
  • Fine motor skills and coordination, necessary to operate computers and various pieces of office equipment
  • Read and verify sometimes small print, both printed and electronic
  • Sitting or standing in the same position for extended periods of time
Working Conditions
  • Work is conducted in an office environment
  • A standard work week is 40 hours, but some overtime and weekend work may be required to meet deadlines or in emergencies
  • Frequent pressure to meet deadlines
