Job Description

Role Description:

Arcadis is currently seeking an Intermediate and a Senior Drainage Designer to join our Toronto West office. You will be a key member of a focused and dedicated team. The group provides preliminary and detailed design services. The projects are for both private and public clients in various jurisdictions.

We design connected, sustainable solutions that integrate existing infrastructure with new technologies, and optimize the mobility of people and goods.

Role Accountabilities:

  • To function as a drainage designer on civil infrastructure projects with a focus on detail design for transit, municipal/arterial road and freeway projects.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads.
  • Preparation of Drainage area plans/maps.
  • Design of storm sewers and appurtenances/elements related with stormwater.
  • Design coordination with other design disciplines.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil/Environmental Engineering, CET or P.Eng.
  • 3+ years of experience in drainage design
  • Working knowledge of hydrology and hydraulics
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads
  • Verbal and written communication skills for interaction and correspondence with clients and design team
  • Self-motivated
  • Must demonstrate a collaborative attitude in working with members of the team
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills, with commitment to excellence and high-quality work
