Job Summary

FDI Services Inc. is currently seeking a Dual Ticket Electrician-Instrumentation Journeyperson for our City of Edmonton Waste Management Centre Facility in Edmonton, AB. The successful candidates will be responsible for safely executing mainly Electrical duties with instrumentation knowledge in a facilities maintenance setting.

Responsibilities

• Wire pulling
• Install/replace/repair/maintains electrical systems including but not limited to:
• circuits,
• motors,
• MCC's,
• VFD's,
• PLC,
• Level sensors,
• Dust collection systems,
• UPS,
• low voltage systems,
• sub-panels,
• feeders,
• transformers,
• lighting systems,
• heating/cooling systems,
• bonding, grounding & cathodic protection systems

• Preventative/predictive maintenance
• Read and interpret electrical, mechanical and architectural drawings, specifications, and applicable codes to determine wiring layouts.
• Use pneumatic, electrical, and electronic testing devices to inspect and test instrument and system operation and diagnose faults.
• Troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation and control equipment.
• Ensuring production compliance with both Company procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Reporting and investigating all safety incidents, near misses, and accidents.
• May perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Excellent problem-solving skills required.
• Good analytical ability and manual dexterity.
• Successful candidates are required to have a valid Alberta driver's license and provide a 5-year clean driver's abstract.
• Must be able to perform physically demanding work for a long duration of time.
• Must be able to perform duties at heights.
• Must have demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Must be able to complete all pre-access training as identified prior to mobilization.

Trade Certification Requirements

• Hold Both Electrical & Instrumentation Journeyperson certificate from a recognized provincial training authority.

Position Information

• Located at the City of Edmonton Waste Management Facility
• 12 hours of work per day
• 4/4 Rotation Schedule
• $43.01 Base Rate with Dual Certification Premiums, Night Shift Premium and Daily Overtime!
• Night Shift Position
• Temporary Full Time Position
