As the Senior Automation & Controls Specialist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Leading the execution on high-quality, efficient programming projects, collaborating with our team to deliver exceptional solutions to our customers.
• Architecting and designing innovative automation systems for proposals and quotes.
• Maintaining and enhancing customer control systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Mentoring junior staff, fostering their professional growth and expertise.
• Contributing to JPI's knowledge base – writing procedures, test documents, and informative articles for our internal wiki.
• Continuously advancing through paid and free training opportunities provided by JPI Solutions.
• Helping JPI advance into Digital Transformation, Industry4.0, and IIoT in energy, mining, petrochemical, and manufacturing.

On your resume, we ask that you outline the following qualifications:

• 10+ years of industry experience.
• Degree in Electrical, Automation, Process, or Computer Science Engineering; or Instrumentation Technologist Diploma; or Electrical Technologist Diploma;
• 2-3+ years leading a high performing automation team.
• Minimum of 3 major projects in PLC or DCS system design, commissioning, and migration.
• Experience in Schneider Electric software such as EcoStruxture Control Expert, Foxboro or System Platform (WonderWare).
• Additional knowledge in platforms such as Studio 5000, RsLogix 5000 and various OT communication protocols will also be considered an asset.
• Valid Driver's License.
