The Team:
The East Fraser ICY (CYMH) team is a new and collaborative group dedicated to supporting service delivery within Integrated Child and Youth (ICY) communities. The team consists of two Team Assistants, each reporting to an Office Manager, and works closely with Team Leaders, Clinicians, Directors, and Community Partners to help ensure efficient and effective operations. By providing essential administrative support, the team enables professional staff to focus on client care while maintaining timely scheduling, accurate documentation, and smooth day-to-day workflows. Team members are valued for their ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic and supportive environment.
The Role:
The Team Assistant plays an important role in supporting professional staff by managing records, coordinating financial processes, greeting clients, and assisting with daily office operations to ensure high-quality service delivery. Through strong administrative support and organization, the position helps clients access services in a timely manner, receive accurate information, and benefit from well-coordinated care. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys working as part of a collaborative team while making a meaningful contribution behind the scenes. The role offers the chance to positively impact both staff and clients by helping ensure services are accessible, efficient, and responsive to community needs.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
- Certificate or coursework and six (6) months related experience; OR
- Secondary School graduation (Dogwood, GED) and six (6) months related experience; OR
- Evergreen and one (1) year related experience; OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Related Experience may include
- Six (6) months experience working in a computerized environment using various computer applications and data bases. (For example: Microsoft Office applications including Word Excel, Outlook) for word processing, spread sheeting, data entry, email and video teleconferencing; and case management or other database applications.
- Experience providing quality customer or client service, carrying out duties and responding to client needs in a professional manner.
- Experience working independently and as a team member with a multi-disciplinary environment and with other professional staff, client, and service providers.
Preferences may be given to applicants with:
- Administrative experience working with vulnerable children and families in a human/social services setting.
- Experience using MCFD applications: Community & Residential Information System (CRIS) and/or Integrate and/or Enterprise Document and Record Management System (EDRMS).
- Experience working with MCFD CYMH team within recent six (6) months.

About this Position:
There are two (2) full time permanent positions available in Agassiz (also serves Hope).
These positions have full time on-site requirements.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future permanent and/or temporary vacancies for Maple Ridge, Agassiz/Hope. Positions will be offered based on location availability.
A Criminal Record Check (CRC) and Criminal Record Review Act Check (CRRA) will be required.
Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.
