New Product Implementation (NPI) Project Manager

We are looking for a New Product Implementation (NPI) Project Manager to join the team at Lindt & Sprüngli (Canada), Inc. The NPI Project Manager is responsible for managing the cross functional effort to deliver new products and changes to existing products by ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within the project scope. The role includes developing project schedule, assigning and managing projects tasks within the cross-functional team, master data set up, communication with the sourcing countries among other tasks. The role will closely work with Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Master Data, Finance and Retail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Oversee innovation projects, including product launches, line extensions, and artwork refreshes, utilizing New Product Introduction processes and Stage Gate Methodology for streamlined execution.
  • Collaboration and Alignment: Coordinate with many departments to ensure projects move smoothly from ideation through execution, maintaining alignment with management at each stage.
  • Progress Monitoring: Lead weekly status meetings to keep projects on track, address challenges promptly, and manage a central repository for project documentation and reports.
  • Process Efficiency: Manage the Stage Gate process and Project Management tool to ensure timely delivery. Conduct sourcing analysis to optimize costs and lead cross-functional efforts for process improvements.
  • Portfolio Optimization: Drive SKU Rationalization and manage the discontinuation process to maintain a healthy and strategic product portfolio, including regular portfolio health reporting.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years' experience in CPG project management
  • Experience working in supply chains and new product development
  • Experience with process improvement. Stage-Gate approach knowledge is an asset.
  • Advanced time management and analytical skills
  • Distinctive problem-solving and analytical skills with a high degree of execution excellence and the ability to work on strict timelines
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional team
  • Execution focused with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet aggressive deadlines in a very fast-paced environment
  • Experience with food industry and retail stores environment is an asset.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PP, and Word).
  • Smartsheet knowledge is an asset
