The Sutton Place Hotel located at the base of Revelstoke Mountain features 205 luxurious condominium style units, year-round outdoor pool, hot tubs and fitness center. This property consists of three buildings connected by an underground heated parking facility and is serviced by a beautifully appointed central lobby. Located minutes from downtown Revelstoke additional amenities include the Rockford Bar | Grill, Mackenzie Common Tavern, La Baguette and Sointula Message & Day Spa.

We are currently considering candidates for the following position:

Head Concierge Sutton Place Hotel at Revelstoke Mountain Resort

The Head Concierge is responsible for leading and developing the Concierge and Bell Persons teams while delivering exceptional guest experiences that reflect the luxury standards of The Sutton Place Hotel at Revelstoke Mountain Resort. This role combines operational leadership with hands-on guest service, ensuring guests receive expert local knowledge, seamless activity coordination, and personalized service throughout their stay.

The Head Concierge acts as the primary point of contact for guest services outside of the Front Desk and plays a key role in creating memorable experiences for visitors exploring Revelstoke and the surrounding mountain environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Concierge Operations

  • Lead daily Concierge operations, ensuring the highest standards of guest service are consistently delivered.
  • Provide personalized recommendations and bookings for activities including skiing, snowboarding, heli-skiing, mountain biking, dining, transportation, and local experiences.
  • Coordinate reservations and services including restaurant bookings, spa appointments, transportation, and off-site excursions.
  • Maintain strong relationships with local tourism operators, guides, restaurants, and transportation providers.
  • Oversee guest requests and ensure timely and accurate follow-up.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Supervise, coach, and support Concierge team members to maintain service excellence.
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and training of Concierge staff.
  • Create schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels based on occupancy and seasonal demand.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback to develop team capabilities.
  • Foster a positive and professional team environment aligned with company culture.

Guest Experience & Service Excellence

  • Act as a host for VIP guests, owners, and repeat visitors.
  • Anticipate guest needs and proactively provide solutions or recommendations.
  • Resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally while maintaining a high level of hospitality.
  • Support hotel events, group arrivals, and special requests where concierge services are required.

Operational Coordination

  • Collaborate closely with Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Guest Services teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of guest preferences, requests, and activity bookings.
  • Ensure concierge areas remain organized, professional, and fully stocked with local information and materials.
  • Monitor and maintain concierge and bell team service standards and procedures.
  • Be completely familiar with Hotel Fire and Safety Regulations and Emergency Procedures.
  • Perform any other duties as required.

Local Expertise

  • Maintain extensive knowledge of Revelstoke, including:
  • Revelstoke Mountain Resort
  • Outdoor activities, seasonal events, and tourism offerings
  • Local restaurants, nightlife, and attractions
  • Stay informed on seasonal activities including winter sports, summer mountain biking, hiking, and local festivals.

Concierge personnel must possess a positive and upbeat personality, excellent verbal and written communication skills, have the ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented and problem solve. Valid Driver's License with the ability to operate a standard transmission vehicle is required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience in a concierge, guest services, or hospitality leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of the Revelstoke area and surrounding tourism experiences preferred.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team development abilities.
  • Highly organized with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid BC Driver's License with a clean driving abstract and the ability to operate a standard transmission vehicle is required.
  • Proficiency with hotel systems and reservation platforms is an asset.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Fast-paced resort environment with high seasonal demand.
  • Frequent interaction with guests, tourism partners, and internal departments.
