What you’ll be doing.

• Contacts physician and hospitals to arrange further medical treatment when needed. Coordinates the administration of and/or provides immunizations and vaccines.

• Responsible for the administration of provincial workers’ compensation benefits and short-term disability and applicable job-protected leaves and works on a professional, confidential level with hospitals, physicians, and other health care providers to ensure proper treatment.

• Oversees the general health and wellness of the McCain employees, which includes but is not limited to the following: monitor the functioning of the Blood Pressure machines & AED, Champion and coordinate the various Wellness programs, smoking cessation program, and educational programs (bathroom postings, brochure racks, handouts), and assist with employee suggestion program.

• Support onsite EAP program where required.

• The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent recognized Canadian nursing degree.
