About the role.McCain Foods (Canada) is seeking General Labourers to join our Fry Plant facility in Grand Falls, New Brunswick. This role is responsible for supporting safe and efficient production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and operational performance.Please note that this position is physically demanding and requires working 12-hour rotating shifts on a 4-on, 4-off schedule (2 days followed by 2 nights). The role involves regular walking, standing, bending, and lifting items up to 35 to 40 lbs. Successful candidates will be dependable, adaptable, safety-focused, and committed to working collaboratively as part of a production team. What you’ll be doing.

• Ensure the safety of yourself and your co-workers at all times.
• Follow all changeover policies and operational requirements.
• Perform sanitation duties as required.
• Troubleshoot, adjust, and maintain equipment to support production operations.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Critical Control Point (CCP) requirements.
• Support achievement of SQCDPE targets through understanding of key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Follow Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and participate in safety programs, including STEP safety interactions and behavioral observations.
• Respond to production issues and contribute to a fast-paced team environment.
• Participate in team meetings and operational discussions as required.
• Complete required core curriculum and e-learning training programs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

What you’ll need to be successful.

• Ability to work a rotating shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic computer skills are considered an asset.
• Ability to work effectively with plant leadership and production employees.
• Strong teamwork skills and a reliable attendance record.
• Good mathematical skills and the ability to accurately complete production documentation.
• Demonstrated initiative, engagement, and continuous improvement mindset.
• Highly motivated, observant, and proactive with a positive attitude.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and maintaining a strong safety record.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 35 to 40 lbs.

Compensation Package: Starting at $21.49 CAD hourly + bonus eligibility + hourly pay differential for applicable shifts
