As a Programs & Social Supports Staffing Coordinator you will manage and coordinate workforce needs for the Recreation & Social Programs (R&SP) business unit. You will be responsible for overseeing the allocation and coordination of Code 86 personnel to meet operational requirements. Primary duties include:
- Lead recruitment, placement, and onboarding of Code 86 staff, including workforce forecasting and coordination for seasonal needs.
- Develop workforce plans and staffing strategies with R&SP leaders to meet operational and Council priorities.
- Ensure corporate policy compliance through workforce administration.
- Ensure workforce compliance with corporate policy, safety and legislative requirements by coordinating training, certifications, and onboarding programs for Code 86 employees.
- Lead employee development and safety education through orientations, LMS certification tracking, quarterly leadership updates, and the maintenance of training and compliance resources.
- Manage workforce administration for Code 86 employees,
- Partner with internal and external participants to support workforce planning, training initiatives, industry alignment, and talent attraction activities.
Qualifications
- A degree in Human Resources, Adult Education, Business, or a related field and at least 5 years of experience in areas such as recruitment and staffing.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint) is required.
- Previous experience working and supporting a unionized environment and understanding collective agreements will be considered an asset.
- Familiarity with Human Capital Management (HCM) PeopleSoft system will also be considered an asset.
- Competencies for this position include attention to detail, customer focus, excellent communication skills, and strong planning and organizing skills. The successful candidate will have the ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and determine strategies for competing priorities.
