As a Property Manager, you will support a diverse portfolio of Administrative Facilities and Calgary Parking parkades and surface lots across The City of Calgary. Acting as the primary liaison between tenants, customers, and the Facilities business unit, you will foster strong relationships, proactively identify and address operational needs, and ensure the effective delivery of property management and facility services. This is a highly visible, field-based role requiring a strong on-site presence, exceptional customer service, and the ability to respond quickly to operational issues to maintain safe, reliable, and welcoming facilities. Primary duties include:

  • Manage tenant and partners relationships within Administrative Facilities and Calgary Parking facilities, providing strategic support and guidance to occupants and senior management.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between tenants, customers, and Facility Operations, ensuring effective communication regarding site operations, projects, service impacts, and tenant expectations.
  • Oversee the day-to-day property management and service delivery for administrative buildings, parkades, and surface parking lots.
  • Conduct daily walking inspections and comprehensive site condition assessments of facilities, including parkades, surface lots, building entrances, common areas, and surrounding property.
  • Perform daily reviews of janitorial service levels, site cleanliness, and facility conditions, including inspections of stairwells, elevator lobbies, and multi-level parkades.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of Facility Operations standards, processes, and service delivery models.
  • Manage business unit Master Operations and Maintenance Service Agreements (MOMSA).

Qualifications

  • A completed 2 year diploma in engineering technology, business administration or related construction or facility related field with at least 5 years of relevant experience in property management, client and tenant relationship management and facility operations services.
  • Working knowledge of applicable legislation (such as the Occupational Health & Safety Act, Alberta Building Code, and Alberta Environment Act) is required.
  • Access to a personal vehicle for business use and a valid Class 5 (or provincial equivalent) driver's licence is required.
  • Experience supporting public-facing events, facility activations, and seasonal décor programs within municipal and institutional facilities would be considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated property management experience in Class A office buildings, including high-rise towers and parking facilities, would be an asset.
  • Strong experience in conference and event venue coordination, including scheduling, client management, operational logistics, and overseeing cost-recovery activities associated with venue rentals and event services.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus, and the ability to effectively engage and communicate with elected officials, senior management, and key partners.
  • Able to adapt to high-stress situations, changing priorities, and urgent service needs while maintaining a strong daily on-site presence.
  • Empathetic active listener that has the ability to foster trust which will result in amicable resolutions of disputes.
  • Strong organization and problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate as part of a team.
  • Ability to obtain a City of Calgary operator's permit.

Working Conditions This position requires daily on-site attendance to support operational oversight, customer service, and immediate response requirements. Extensive walking, field inspections, stair climbing, and visits to multiple facilities are essential functions of the role.

Workstyle

  • This position works full time from the office, with no remote work options available.

Failure to pass a pre-employment drug test may prevent an applicant from being hired into any safety sensitive position for a period of up to twelve months.
