Senior Sector Controller

The salary range for this position is $88,000 to $105,000. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may be entitled to other elements of total compensation, which may include group benefits, employer RRSP contributions, and discretionary bonus or incentive programs, where applicable to the role. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and comply with all applicable pay transparency legislation. Further details regarding our total rewards program will be shared by the Talent Acquisition team during the hiring process. Canadian work experience is not a requirement for this role. Now, if you were to come on board as our Senior Sector Controller, we’d ask you to do the following for us:

• Lead and support a team of Sector Controller and Senior District Accountants
• Oversee monthly and quarterly financial reporting to ensure accuracy and timely completion
• Provide accounting and financial analysis to ensure accurate financial statements within specific deadlines
• Review the team's balance sheet and operating statement analysis, providing guidance and ensuring issues are appropriately resolved
• Review client reporting and billings and ensure financial and contractual obligations are met
• Partner with Operations and senior management to explain financial results, support decision-making, and resolve financial issues
• Support internal, external, and client audits
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls
• Support the accounting onboarding of new business
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and increase efficiency

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in Accounting
• Accounting Designation or equivalent work experience
• 5 years Financial Accounting experience in a computerized accounting environment
• Exceptional analytical skills and the initiative to solve problems
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team environment, both in the office and with Operations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Experience working with JD Edwards would be an asset
• Previous supervisory or management experience is preferred
