The salary range for this position is $68,000 to $80,000. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may be entitled to other elements of total compensation, which may include group benefits, employer RRSP contributions, and discretionary bonus or incentive programs, where applicable to the role. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and comply with all applicable pay transparency legislation. Further details regarding our total rewards program will be shared by the Talent Acquisition team during the hiring process. Canadian work experience is not a requirement for this role. Compass Group Canada’s communications team is looking for a highly organized and creative Specialist to support recognition, communications, and associate engagement initiatives across the business. This role plays an important part in keeping programs moving, coordinating details, supporting communications, and helping bring associate recognition moments to life.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, detail-oriented planner, and collaborative team member who enjoys supporting programs, events, storytelling, reporting, and day-to-day execution.

Now, if you were to come on board as our Recognition and Communications Specialist, we’d ask you to do the following for us:

  • Recognition & Associate Engagement
    • Support the planning, administration, and delivery of national associate recognition programs across Compass Group Canada.
    • Coordinate program timelines, communications, stakeholder deliverables, and day-to-day activities to help ensure strong execution.
    • Support recognition initiatives that celebrate associate achievements across both frontline and corporate populations.
    • Assist with the planning and execution of recognition events, celebrations, and other senior leadership engagement activities.
    • Work with site operators and local stakeholders to support event logistics, readiness activities, materials, and post-event follow-up.
    • Help identify opportunities to improve program participation, awareness, and associate experience.
  • Communications & Storytelling
    • Support internal communications projects and engagement initiatives tied to recognition, culture, and associate experience.
    • Assist with the development and execution of communication materials, campaign plans, program updates, and associate-facing content.
    • Identify, capture, and share associate success stories and recognition moments that bring our culture and values to life.
    • Partner with internal communications and digital teams to help amplify recognition programs and engagement campaigns.
    • Ensure materials are clear, accurate, on-brand, and aligned with company culture.
  • Reporting & Program Support
    • Track participation, engagement, and program activity to support reporting and evaluation.
    • Prepare reports, dashboards, presentations, and summary materials to support program decisions.
    • Maintain project plans, timelines, trackers, calendars, and other administrative tools to support recognition and communications work.
    • Support research into trends, best practices, and opportunities to improve recognition and engagement initiatives.
    • Provide general program administration and coordination support to keep recognition and communications work organized and on track.

Think you have what it takes to be our Recognition and Communications Specialist? Here’s how we’ll know you’ll be successful in the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Human Resources, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of experience in communications, employee engagement, recognition programs, events, program administration, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-wide initiatives involving multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Experience with reporting, data analysis, engagement metrics, and presentation materials.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with associates and leaders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to turn information into clear, concise, and engaging content.
  • Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Collaborative, resourceful, adaptable, and solutions-oriented, with a strong customer-service mindset.
  • Passionate about creating positive associate experiences and fostering an engaging workplace culture.
