Studio 99 Host, Seasonal PT, Rogers Place

The Host/Hostess is responsible for greeting guests and ensuring they are sat at their table in a timely fashion.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Welcome and acknowledge each guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly verbal greeting
• Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists
• Escort customers to assigned dining or bar areas
• Coordinate with wait staff about available seating options
• Cater to guests who require extra attention (e.g. children, special occasion, allergies)
• Assists service staff as needed
• Strong organization skills with ability to work in high pressure situations and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Thank guests with genuine appreciation and provide a fond farewell
• Build relationships with guests
• Adhere to uniform standards and job specific standard operation procedures

Qualifications, Skills and Abilities

• Previous work experience as a Host or Hostess is an asset
• Flexible availability; evenings, weekends and holidays
• Must have a valid Pro Serve Certificate or willing to obtain
• Excellent communication skills via in person
• Previous knowledge using OpenTable is an asset
